Things to do in Weybridge

Weybridge is a Thames-side town next to Brooklands, the first purpose built motor racing circuit, where Brooklands Museum has racing cars, aircraft and Concorde.

A day out in Weybridge

Weybridge is a Thames-side town in Elmbridge and the home of Brooklands Museum, which stands between Weybridge and Byfleet on the site of the first purpose built motor racing circuit, where Britain's first Grand Prix was held in August 1926. The museum's collection covers racing cars, motorcycles and historic aircraft, and the Concorde Experience takes you inside the aircraft on a 35 minute tour. The Sunbeam Café is in the Clubhouse, and picnics are welcome across the Paddock and aircraft park, where there is also a playground. Summer hours of 10am to 5pm run until 1 November, and on weekdays during October half term, from 17 October to 1 November 2026, families can follow the Grand Prix Mystery trail. Mercedes-Benz World is on the same site.

Weybridge station is managed by South Western Railway and has step free access to all platforms, some by ramps or streets, with 81 parking spaces. Brooklands Museum says it is half an hour by train from London Waterloo and a few minutes from junction 10 of the M25. Its main car park is free; use the postcode KT13 0SL and follow the brown signs, because some satnavs lead to a private entrance. The museum has been cashless since 1 January 2026. In the town, Elmbridge Borough Council's car parks include Churchfield Road, behind the library, and Baker Street, near Springfield Meadows. Elmbridge Museum shows its collection in display cases at the civic centre and libraries across the borough, and online.
